Let’s celebrate Sustainable Living!

The Expo will feature demonstrations of organic living food preparation and tastings. There will be various workshops throughout the day offering practical information from expert speakers.

There will also be opportunities for the community to provide input into what Mosman Council’s Sustainability Advisory Group could address.

Council officers will be available to advise on issues such as native gardening, introduced weed species, wildlife and demonstrate waste minimisation through recycling, worm farming and composting.

Those wishing to do more for the environment can sign up to volunteer with a community group such as Bushcare or find out more about switching to GreenPower, buying local food and using a rainwater tank. There will be lots of prizes and fun ‘waste to art’ craft activities for kids next to Allan Border Oval.

Join the fun from 10am – 3pm. There is no need to RSVP, simply walk, ride a bike, catch a bus or car pool your way there!

The 2008 Mosman Festival will be carbon offset.
