Five things you can do to make the Mosman Festival even more sustainable
Don’t forget to take part in the Sustainable Transport Challenge: walk, bike, carpool or take public transport to the Festival’s events to go in the draw to win a great prize package. Look at the Mosman Sustainable Transport Guide to find the best way to get to an event.
Make the Mosman Festival a plastic bag free event! In an effort to reduce waste and recycle, please bring a carry bag (e.g. calico or green bag) to take home the things you buy or collect on the day.
Put glass, cartons, cans and plastic containers into the recycling bins located at the events. On Fair Day put your food scraps directly into one of the food scrap buckets at Graeme’s worm farm trailer.
Pick up a free plant from Council’s Sustainability Expo on Fair Day and plant it!
On Fair Day learn more about the environment and sustainability and what you can do to make a difference: measure your environmental footprint or test your knowledge of the environment at the Sustainability Expo, learn about the marine environment and the impact humans have on it by visiting the Eco Divers display or participate in a Waste into Art activity!
